Distribution Center Manager

About this Opportunity:

AMSOIL INC. has a great opportunity available for a Distribution Center Manager. This position is located at the AMSOIL Distribution Center in Sandston, VA and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all activities and staff within the facility as well as regularly communicating with individuals at the AMSOIL corporate office located in Superior, Wisconsin.

Requirements/Expectations:

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor best safety practices and enforce safe work habits at all times
• Accountable for the timely, accurate and cost-effective shipment of AMSOIL products to all customers from the Distribution Center which includes meeting assigned productivity standards
• Adhere to documented, operational best practices and for ensure that all distribution center employees are trained on best practices
• Supervise all Distribution Center Staff including attendance and performance
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and by properly reporting and adjusting any damages, customer returns or exchanges and using FIFO practices
• Ensure exceptional customer service is being provided at all times by entire team
• Assist the team with picking and packing orders as well as customer walk-ins to ensure the best service it being provided

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Three to five years of distribution or warehouse management experience
• Industry knowledge of shipping and domestic transportation
• Computer skills including Microsoft office and familiarity with RF technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service experience with a customer-oriented attitude
• Warehousing and inventory control experience
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to drive a forklift with on-the-job certification required
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment
• Capable of heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
