About this Opportunity:

AMSOIL INC. located in Superior, Wis. is looking for a Dealer Sales Business Development Manager. This person will lead a team of Regional Sales Managers and Field Sales Representatives, accountable for growing sales through the AMSOIL independent Dealer Network, at the corporate level of AMSOIL. This is done through monitoring six main sales channels and will require a deep knowledge of the transactional needs of the AMSOIL Dealers as well as retail and commercial customers.

Requirements/Expectations:

Responsibilities:

  • Create a deep knowledge of the main sales channels for AMSOIL independent Dealers; Home Warehouse Dealers, Retail Installers, Retail On-the-Shelf, Commercial Business, Preferred Customers and Catalog Customers.
  • Develop priorities and areas of focus for driving sales in each channel in order to hit company sales goals and achieve business results
  • Monitor P&L statements to track sales
  • Develop, maintain and monitor appropriate information flow to AMSOIL Dealers
  • Work closely with the Programs and Promotions Manager to modify sales and cooperative programs and promotions required to be successful in the marketplace
  • Be a visible supporter of AMSOIL Dealers both internally and externally

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 10 years of experience in a sales or marketing related role
  • Customer service experience with a customer-oriented attitude
  • High level of customer empathy
  • Collaborative, creative and grounded in data based decision making
  • Demonstrated, exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and change directions quickly
  • Computer skills including Microsoft office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills , including public speaking
  • Ability to communicate effectively, courteously and professionally with others in person and over the phone
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with company executives, co-workers, peers and external partners
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability and availability to travel up to 20% by car and plane
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Requirement:

  • Experience in non-traditional sales with a focus on coaching and program development for a network of independent sales representatives
