About this Opportunity:

AMSOIL INC. is looking to add a Sales Manager in the Wind Business division.  The Sales Manager is responsible for driving and executing sales objectives by developing new customer opportunities and supporting existing customer relationships to meet Company business goals.  Working with department management, the Sales Manager will continue to develop analysis of the market in a number of ways in order to assist in developing strategies that support market communications and sales campaigns.

Requirements/Expectations:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate the involvement of internal departments, i.e. support, service and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Work with the team to make PowerPoint and WebEX presentations to Owners/Operators with the key objective of selling AMSOIL lubricants
  • Successfully use resources to monitor account performance objectives all while exceeding customer expectations
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an on-going basis via in-person visits to customer sites and corporate offices
  • Lead solution development efforts for the sales team and department that best address customer needs
  • Work with all departments within the organization to ensure Wind projects are completed in a timely manner to support business growth
  • Provide market intelligence on pricing and customer ownership changes to department management  as well as update the company CRM
  • Ability to develop, coach and manage the sales process
  • Assist in developing marketing material
  • Attend industry related events

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 2 year degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of experience within in the Wind industry or other industrial sales/technical and/or past business development experience
  • Previous experience in strategic planning and execution with proven leadership abilities and successes
  • Demonstrable knowledge of wind turbine gearboxes or industrial drivetrain
  • Proficient in understanding accounting software and customer resource management tools (CRM)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to set, prioritize and manage all projects and job duties to reach department goals and objectives
  • Knowledge and ability to use Word and Excel
  • Very skilled in putting together PowerPoint sales presentations
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and able to successfully work independently without supervision
  • Ability to motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Willingness to obtain and hold an annual wind turbine climbers certification if needed
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Travel by car, plane and/or train, including internationally will be required 45%-65% of time
