Technical Writer

About this Opportunity:

AMSOIL is looking for a writer to create educational and technical information to be used in marketing and sales documents. A large portion of the job will involve direct interaction with engineers, technical marketing professionals and other individuals across multiple departments.

Requirements/Expectations:

Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Technical Writer include creating marketing and communication pieces using information developed by the Technical Marketing team, Product Managers and Product Specialists; creating and managing documents used to teach and reinforce technical, sales and marketing concepts with AMSOIL Dealers, customers and Technical Sales accounts; and to organize and submit articles to the Marketing and Communications department for newsletters, bulletins, catalogs and websites.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 1 -3 years of experience in a writing-related role
• Excellent written communication
• Proficiency in technical and promotional writing
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
• Must be able to work with others and individually
• Ability to translate technical information into sales catalogs or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Communication or English
• Knowledge of lubrication industry
