Intern – Social Media Marketing

An AMSOIL Internship is an exciting opportunity for a college student who is highly motivated, goal-oriented, enjoys a challenge, and is looking to expand his/her knowledge in a professional, corporate setting.  The Social Media Marketing intern will play a key role in supporting the Integrated Marketing department. The ideal candidate for this position is someone excited and enthusiastic about the area of corporate social media and influencer marketing. Summer internships typically begin after students have completed their current spring semester and end before they start their fall semester in the same calendar year. This internship provides an extensive opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in teamwork, communication skills, and project management while working in the lubrication industry. 

Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the research of prospective influencers that fit the AMSOIL target audience
• Build relationships with influencers through email and social outreach and tracking responses
• Directly respond to questions and inquiries coming in through all social media channels
• Assist in managing social media content

Requirements Include:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration, or related field
• Junior or Senior class standing
• Familiarity with Social Media Marketing concepts
• Demonstrable, professional writing experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong technical/computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Extreme detail orientation with strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Great analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers
• Available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer months of June, July and August
