About this Opportunity:

AMSOIL INC, located in Superior, Wisconsin is looking for an Associate Project Engineer in The Wind and Industrial Business department. The person in this key role works directly with engineering and department management to oversee a wide variety of projects, product field trials, product warranty investigations, product improvements, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) special projects. The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy daily interactions with customers and vendors, collaborating and communicating with departments within the organization and working efficiently to solve problems.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of each project phase from initial development to implementation
  • Adhere to identified project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Forecast, draft, and submit budget proposals and recommend budget changes where necessary
  • Develop, track and maintain project budget, working closely with department managers and finance to assign costs
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel engaged in each project
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Travel may be required up to 10%, both domestically and internationally

 Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent work experience
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience working with technical engineering projects
  • Eligible to travel domestically and internationally
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Proven success using project management skills and a strong understanding of project management principles
  • Analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both a technical and user-friendly language
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to think logically and work efficiently
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on teams and independently
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to quickly conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines with a decisive nature
  • Strong customer service orientation

Preferred:

  • Personnel management experience
