About this Opportunity

AMSOIL Inc, located in Superior, Wis. is hiring an International Technical Specialist. The Technical Specialist is responsible for supporting and training AMSOIL International Distributors and the International team on all technical aspects of AMSOIL products. The person in this position will also partner with the team to gather market intelligence that will support the development of new products.

Responsibilities/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to International AMSOIL Distributors and prospective Distributors
  • Manage investigations of International product performance claims
  • Develop and conduct technical training for internal and external customers
  • Research and manage country-specific product registrations and certifications
  • Research and propose new products or solutions to address International requirements
  • Work with team and Distributors to assess sales potential of proposed new products
  • Support departments companywide with international market and equipment information
  • Travel internationally to support Distributors or attend tradeshows as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical support position for lubricants or engineering
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-pace environment
  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written and in giving presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Able to work and communicate with individuals whose primary language is not English
  • Sensitivity to and appreciation for other cultures
  • Ability to obtain a passport and travel up to 10% (internationally by plane)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Strong lubricant and/or mechanical engineering knowledge
